CUET UG 2026 Registrations Open: Everything Class 12 Students Need to Know

Alright, the time has come. Gear up, sit up straight, and stop hoping college admissions will somehow figure themselves out for you. CUET UG registrations are officially open, and if you are in Class 12, this is the part where scrolling, procrastinating, and saying “I will do it tomorrow” officially stops being cute.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduates, better known as CUET UG, is conducted by the National Testing Agency and has firmly positioned itself as the gatekeeper to central universities and several other participating institutions. One exam now holds the power to decide a lot, and yes, that should make you nervous in a healthy, productive way. CUET UG did simplify admissions, but let’s be real, it has also turned the competition up several notches. With lakhs of students chasing extremely limited seats, this is less about luck and more about knowing exactly what you are doing.

Students can submit their CUET UG application forms until 30 January 2026, up to 11:50 PM. If you are the type who fills the form and then forgets about payment, take note. The last date to pay the registration fee is 31 January 2026, again till 11:50 PM. Those who spot mistakes after submitting the form will get a chance to fix limited details during the correction window from 2 February to 4 February 2026.

The entire application process is online through the official CUET portal. Candidates must register using a valid email ID and mobile number, fill in personal and academic details, upload a passport size photograph and signature, and complete the payment. This is not the moment to rush like you are ordering food online. One wrong spelling or incorrect date can follow you longer than you expect.

Aadhaar details deserve special attention here. Your name, date of birth, and other information must match your Aadhaar records exactly. Any mismatch can create issues during verification, admit card downloads, or later admission stages. Having Class 12 board details, category certificates if applicable, and other documents ready beforehand is not being extra. It is being sensible.

CUET UG is not just another exam on the calendar. It is the checkpoint that decides where your undergraduate journey begins. Registrations are live, deadlines are approaching fast, and this is one form that rewards attention, not attitude.
